Townhouse Patio

Challenge:

To turn a dull, little used, enclosed outdoor space into an enjoyable area for entertaining and relaxing.

The solution:

Scenic Artisans’ client expressed a preference for Mediterranean palate. Taking this theme, we developed a Tuscan stucco look and feel, complemented by Morrocan blues. The PVC drainpipe was painted to simulate aged copper.

Techniques:

Faux lime wash stucco; metallics – aged copper; faux aged wood

Reactions:

The redefined patio has become an “extra room” frequently used for entertaining guests and enjoying the weather.
