Urban Loft-style condo
Challenge:
This was a brand new loft-style condo with plenty of bare white walls. The artist owner wanted his new home to reflect his eclectic aesthetic, but knew that he also had to have something that worked well in a small space.
The solution:
Taking a painting from the client’s art collection as a reference, we created a textural bohemian atmosphere using a selection of earth tones and a variety of approaches. Colors and techniques were used to define each room separately, creating a dramatic use of space that is unique and eye-catching while reflecting the owner’s individual style.
Techniques:
Faux brick; aged distressed plaster; metallics; faux wood; multi-layer glazing.
Reactions:
Exceeded expectations! The client was thrilled and the home was the subject of an HGTV episode of Small Spaces, Big Style. See the video HERE:
